My Fluffy Pillows

Cinderella's Carriage

We walk pass it everyday when we leave the house.

But no one notice that it was 'drained'.

When it caught out attention, it was sunken and a shadow of its former self.

The pumpkin.

Moss-ey and dissolving into the plate. Notice the train of stale pumpkin juice.

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!*

Here's how a fresh pumpkin is supposed to look like.

*You'll only understand this if you watched Disney's Cinderella a long time ago.

Moo Moo...

My sis insists that I show everyone what she bought for me.

So here is MooMoo, the newest piece of squish-ie to set its hoofs onto my bed.

It stands.

And spreads.

Dozo!~

It was a Sunday.

After some shopping at Orchard Road, a starving XH and I headed down to Valley Point Shopping Center where our modern Japanese fine dining fusion dinner awaits!

The restaurant felt welcoming and excluded a posh-like demeanor as we strolled along the darkly carpeted floor way, pass the private function lounges. Mini chandeliers hung over the ceilings amidst the plush cushioned seats.

We were led to our dinning space at a cozy corner just beside the length of the window. Our view was further enhanced by a set of beautiful multi-changing lights.

XH was enchanted by the lights that was constantly changing its look.

The servers were really cautious whenever they came out with a new set of dish because according to them, this pretty thing costs a few thousand bucks.

In the midst of change! I must say the photos did not do justice. You must see the lights for yourself.

And then our 7 course meal began!

Mango sorbet served with a gorgeous touché on a bed of crushed ice, orchids and baby's breath.

For starters, we had the Chef seasonal assorted platter.

Salmon topped with cream and caviar, scallop drizzled with bubbly delicious sauce and foie gras from the left respectively.

The cold dish was up next.

I had the smoked duck breast on bed of greens with cranberry vanetta.

Just in case you were wondering what that big round thing is, its papadum! The waiter was really amusing when he served this dish. He assured me that we were still in a Japanese restaurant and not an Indian one because there was papadum and he is Indian. Haha.

XH went for the succulent king crab claw salad drizzled with sesame vinaigrette (I forgot to turn my flash on for this shot, that's why it looked too dark)

As for the side dish, we had......

Tempura battered soft shell crab on galette of mash (forgot about the flash again!)

Steamed egg custard with scallop and foie gras topped with caviar which tasted oh-so-smooth!

And then it was time for some soup!

The seafood bisque, accompanied by the very claw that was used to extract its unique taste.

This one is called Infusion of cepes, mushroom and truffle. (yeah, that tiny black thingy on the spoon is the truffle)

Without further anticipation, our main course arrived!

She thoroughly enjoyed her beef tenderloin with ‘pu-ye’ and granite hotstone.

Here’s how it looked like from the dinner’s point of view.

My baked Atlantic cod fillet with miso cream cappuccino was delicious and really fresh.

Following that, we had some refreshing fruity cooler tea.

We finished everything in the pot up to the last bite cause there were pieces of fruit inside.

Finally! Desert time!

The crispy fried purple yam cake with ice cream looked kinda cute.

Dozo’s green tea crème brulee tasted like green tea. Haha.

But they were both no match for the freshly baked warm chocolate cake served with ice cream! Which oozes warm chololate fudge that flowed like hot lava as you slice it open. Hmmm...

Then, came a plesant surprise because they found out that we were here to celebrated my belated birthday.

Especially for moi! With a boat of sesame ice cream.

Here's how my credit card looked like that evening. Haha.

Dinner was great and the overall dinning experience was a 2 thumbs up.

Presentation was excellent, I mean, look at the effort and pride they put into their food!

Ambience was really inviting, very suitable for dating couples.

I'll be free for a treat if anyone who is interested to dine at Dozo can't find their way there. I'll provide transportation services to and fro from your doorstep.

For enquiries, do not hesitate to call me (extremely interested applicants only).

Barry and Stuart

Their trick is so cute!

Haha.

Not for the squeamish :P

Over the Weekend

I went to Ikea with my LardyPOS sister.

We kicked start the furniture tour by cam-whoring in the huge lift! Hehe.

Check our my sis's new fringe and my pale-looking face :(

Our dinner.

Then, my sister made a startling discovery.

This little gril who bears an uncanny resemblemce to Lydia Sum.

Hehe.
And then I came across this at the bedroom section.

This signage is screwed onto the steps of the double decker beds.

How Ironic. She is just above the sign.

Now lets move on to the land of Lilliput!

Me doing a Guliver on the little rocking horse.

My sis trying to act cute on this baby chair.

And in case u don't know, this chair comes with a shield! That's great for hide-and-seek when you are naive.

Her feet is left outside to show that she did manage to fit in.

Me looking like a giantress on the baby cot.

Trying to sleep on the little elf's bed.

I also discovered that Ikea is a nice place to meditate.

Go ahead and roll your eyes on at this one.

And this one too.

 My sis found her soulmate!

PM me if you are interested in the rest of the photos.

Attempting a high-class look. FAILED!

Wrapping up the day with a soft serve in the lift~

Miss Vivian (Part 2)

I decided to present Miss Vivian (Part 2) in the form of a stage play.

Haha.

Here goes.

G-o-o-s-e-f-l-e-s-h

Staring:
Miss Vivian
Calyn
And Sheila
With special guest appearance by: Ah Ma

Setting:
The Great Hall @ Tampines

Stage directions:
Nightfall, the lights are switched on. Calyn sits on the sofa opposite Sheila. Miss Vivian lies face down on a mattress with her face buried in the pillow.

Ah Ma rouses dreamily from her sleep and make her way to the bathroom. She stops at the walkway, wondering who is up at this late hour because the light in The Great Hall was on.

She stands at the neck of the walkway and squints, trying to make out the unfamiliar silhouettes. Then without saying a word, wanders to the toilet, out of sight.

Calyn’s greetings sounded “Hi Auntie.”

But Ah Ma was already gone.

She questions Sheila “Is that your ah ma?”

Sheila replies “Yup!”

Miss Vivian who has been silent all this while lifts her head and stares at the empty walkway. She face Sheila squarely.

Miss Vivian threads her query with caution “Sheila. Who did you say passed away a few weeks ago?”

“Oh. Hmmm. My ah ma lor…” Sheila says in s small voice.

“And who was that just now?” Miss Vivian enquires further.

“My ah ma la.” Sheila answers matter-of-factly.

Miss Vivian stares right through Sheila, her eyes frozen with fear. She shivers as the night breeze wafts against her cold cheeks, trying desperately to undo what she just heard and the person she did not see.

Sheila is confused with Miss Vivian’s sudden change in behavior.

Then, Sheila realizes what has been going through Miss Vivian’s mind and cannot help but exclaim “Eh! I’ve got two different ah ma(s) can!”

Miss Vivian exhales with relieve “Say la!”

“What?” Sheila retaliates.

“I ask you who passed away, you say its your ah ma. Then I asked you who was it just now, you say its your ah ma. Damn steady la!” Miss Vivian further executes her claim.

“It’s the truth lor.” Came Sheila’s indignant reply.

Curtain call.

Vindicated!

Miss Vivian is a dumbass. :P

If this carries on, I’ll have to start a Chronicles-of-Miss-Vivian series of posts man.
